The Fifth Night of the Ninth Wave starts as of August 18th of 2011 and many are wondering what this energy will carry. When we look back at history the fifth night usually appears as a very destructive time period and this naturally adds drama to the interest. Typically, the Fifth night means a ¨dark age¨ with some kind of destruction and without exception it has meant a sharp economic decline. Here is a great Temple of Lord Shiva also called MAHADEVA.

In the Srimad Bhagavatam We find this story about Lord Shiva. At one time the demon named mayadanava attacked all the devatas (demigods) and the devotees and he ´created three formidable cities that were flying in the air. It was called the thripura and these cities were formidable due to the expert architectural design , mayadanava's three cities flying in the sky were very sophisticated, in their offensive and defensive measures to attack the innocent people all over the world. So of course everyone was in great fear. Then Lord Shankar himself (SHIVA), was called upon by the devotees in great desperation. It was the Supreme Lord Narayan Who instructed these devotees go to Lord Shankara, the greatest devotee of all . Narayan Himself could have done it but He loves to see His devotees get more credit than Him. So Lord Shankar using his formidable bows and arrows destroyed these three cities and thus he became known as Thripurari. Lord Shiva being also the greatest Mystic, can destroy a thing by whatever method he chooses. The Srimad Bhagavatam describes the many qualities of the greatest devotee’s of the Lord who are perfectly exemplified in the personality of Shankar. This is the quality of compassion. It is the quality of the willingness to make sacrifice for the betterment of others and Lord Shiva is the supreme embodiment of this principle. We find many, many examples in this regard.
