A magic square is when each number is used only once, but the horizontal, vertical and diagonal sums are all equal. If we add all 3 vertical or horizontal rows
we get 151515 = 18 1+8 = 9
If we add the sum of the 2 diagonal rows or any two of the vertical or horizontal rows
we get 1515 = 12 1 + 2 = 3
The sum of all 8 rows also ends up as a 3
If we add one vertical, horizontal, or diagonal row
