426,750 Years till the end of the Vedic Age of Kali Yuga (Cycle of 4 Yuga's/Ages)

The Golden age, the lost paradise, the nostalgia of an ancient past, brighter and more magical. It often combines with images of  vanished gardens, where trees of abundance gave fruits galore throughout the year, where streams of milk and honey flowed endless, where life was easier, longer and more beautiful than this current age. There were no city walls for no one feared the threat of another.

The Roman poet Ovid describes the Golden Age as a time of justice and right with no need for work or worry.  People, cared for and nourished by bountiful nature, lived in peace without the pains of labor in the fields.  Spring was eternal and the world in which mankind lived was nothing short of paradise  (1.89-112).

Description of Satya or "Krita" Yuga in the Mahabharata  of India (age of Truth and Purity).

There were no poor and no rich; there was no need to labor, because all that men required was obtained by the power of will; the chief virtue was the abandonment of all worldly desires. The Krita Yuga was without disease; there was no lessening with the years; there was no hatred or vanity, or evil thought; no sorrow, no fear. All mankind could attain to supreme blessedness.
